In the movie ‘8 Mile’, Actor and Rap Artist, Eminem (B Rabbit) was competing in a rap battle that could earn him the #1 bragging rights in the city. Instead of leading the battle, his opponent ‘Papa Doc’ (with so many discriminating things to say about him) decided to let B Rabbit rap first. This was a mistake and B Rabbit was counting on it. You see, this allowed B Rabbit to say all of those bad things about himself first, eliminating any opportunity for Papa Doc to use them against him. B Rabbit, in return, proceeded to crush Papa Doc by leaking out his own unknown secrets. When it was Papa Doc’s turn to spit, he was left without words. B Rabbit had left him speechless.
Happy Throwback Thursday my Weekday Warriors! It is that day again and if this ain’t your first rodeo, you know what I do today. I give you a blast from the past! We are expecting some rain. We have a low of 63 with a high of 71 in the KC metro area. Your topic for today is on ‘The Power Of Words’.
“Sticks and stone may break my bones but words will never hurt me.” I grew up being told that this statement was the standard virtue for ignoring the words of others. Guess what? It doesn’t work for everyone. You see, words do hurt. They also make you feel good. So listen up People, be careful of how you speak to others, as well as yourself. If there is something to say, always make a practice of utilizing the power of your words by saying something positive. You see, words aren’t just seeds that blow around. They land in our hearts and not only the ground, so be careful what you plant and extra careful what you say, because you just might have to eat the words you’ve planted one day.
