Good Morning People!!!
As the first African American citizen to own and operate a vehicle in the city limits of Cleveland, Ohio, Garret Morgan dreamed about a safer way of crossing through the cities intersections. Witnessing accident after accident take place, at multiple intersections back in the early 1920’s, he visualized a method that would give drivers a warning period that would allow them more time to make safer stops. This new idea was as simple as adding a yellow light between the two existing green/red lights. And just like that, the 3 signal light system was born! Because of his imagination, many accidents have been prevented and lives saved. Because of Garret Morgan, we all now have the opportunity of slowing down to prepare to stop. Gotta love those people that exercise their brains for the sake of others.

What a wonderful feeling it is knowing that we all have the ability to create things from out of thin air. If you take the opportunity to look around the room you are in, you will easily notice that most of what you see, if not all, was created from out of creative thoughts. These imaginative ideas transformed into things that have helped make our lives easier. So listen up People. Every single one of us has the power to imagine. So why not imagine a world with your own ideas leading the way into someone else’s need. By using your imagination, you not only, help expand your ability to create, you also open up the door for the possibility of making the world that much more of a better place. It’s ok to dream, but when you are awake, use your imagination instead.
