Good Morning People!!
Joey and Luther were good friends. They had been friend since the 4th grade. But when Joey turned 19 and enlisted in the Army, their relationship changed a little. Joey came back from boot camp more direct. He seemed a little pushier and controlling and instead of talking to his friend Luther like they were friends, Joey seemed to now address Luther like he was one of his parents. Instead of getting too upset about the ordeal and giving up on the relationship, Luther decided to take a little break from his friend and explained to his friend of why. After a few weeks of not speaking to each other, the two met up for drinks, reminisced a little about childhood events, and an hour later they were back to where they’d left off.
Happy Friday my Weekday Warriors!! And a beautiful weekend it is! We’ve got our day starting out with a low today of 52 and a high of 76 degrees in the KC metro area! Todays topic is on ‘The Importance Of The Pause’.
Face it, there are times when we run across that person that we can’t seem to get along with all of the time. Whether it be your significant other, family member, co worker, or friend, there are times when separation is needed in order to defuse erratic emotions from stewing up. When this happens, sometimes the best thing to do is take a pause from each other. Listen up People, it is better to take a pause for the cause than destroy a relationship for the long haul. When you feel threatening emotions building within, consider taking a break to calm and think. In doing so you may help preserve the time that you have invested in what you have already started building. Time may be valuable, but so are those relationships.
