Good Morning People!!
In February of this year, I had the pleasure of watching Dr. Ruben West perform a smashing presentation at the BTBY winter conference in St. Louis, Mo. As he spoke these particular words, I couldn’t help but slip back into the past. He said, “One degree is all it takes to send you in a whole new direction.” Dr. West had a point. My life has been hit many times by this (so called) degree. Some of those degrees were mistakes, and even though there may have been many, the mistakes weren’t what really mattered. The Lesson was. You see, if I learned the lesson the degree would advance me, but if I didn’t, I only ended up with a harder head.
Happy Humpin Wednesday my Weekday Warriors! We are again at the top of the hill so fasten up those seatbelts and let’s ride this one out with ease. Your beautiful KC weather starts out at 60 degrees and eases its way up into the lower 80’s this afternoon. You topic for today is on ‘The Importance Of The Lesson’.
Face it. You are not perfect. You will make mistakes at some point in your life. These mistakes will not only warn you of what not to do again, but also stamp you with a reason why. The goal in every mistake is not only to avoid making them again, but to learn the lesson behind it. So listen up People, the only way you are going to stop repeating those same mistakes that you are making is to learn the lesson from it. Learn where you went wrong with your decision and swiftly make the corrections necessary to avoid making the same mistake twice. The first time may be a dumb mistake, but the second go around……. Let me just say this, “You can learn a lot from a dummy”.
It’s ya boy, Coffee Cup Chuck. Thank you for joining me again for another powerful message. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and as always, Stay Positive People☕️😎👍🏾!
