Good Morning People!!!
When I first started my business in 2018 I was eager to reach the heights of success. I remember thinking that by the end of that year Lumenus Technologies would be drowning in doe. I remember daydreaming about having 10 employees, 4 or more bucket trucks and having billboards up throughout the city. How’s that for high expectations? I also remember sitting down with Inayat Noormohmad, a good friend of mines and talking about all of this. Not wanting to crush my hopes, yet also not wanting me to get too ahead of myself, Inayat politely brought me back down to earth. He first congratulated me on taking the leap, but then told me to take things slow. He said that if I grew too fast the company would miss out on important elements that are needed to sustain longevity. 5 years later I’m sitting at 4 employees, two bucket trucks and even though I’m not rolling in doe, it’s at least starting to rain. Im glad I listened to him.
Happy hump day my Weekday Warriors! Today is a cold one out there. We’ve got a high of only 38 with a low of only 22 in the KC metro area. Todays topic in on ‘The Importance Of Taking Things Slow’.
Face it people, we live in a society that has taught us that delayed gratification is only a myth. We want everything given to us and we want everything ‘right now’. Well listen up people, when you rush through everything without even taking the time out to actually experience your growth you completely miss out on the journey. You know, all of those moments that define how you got from point A to point B. Slow down long enough to appreciate why you are becoming successful so you never forget where you’ve come from. By doing this you are constantly reminded of why you should where you are in the first place.
