Good Morning People!!!
Question. Did you know that most of the mistakes made by the average person are normally due to rushing in to complete a task, the lack of focusing on the task and the willingness to pay closer attention? So many people are so gun ho about timing that unexpected situations occur that could’ve easily been avoided? I, myself, am guilty of this very thing. What if we were able to slow ourselves down just enough to actually think about the next move? What if we just took that extra time out to organize our thoughts before we proceeded? How much more do you think we could accomplish if we did?
Happy Thursday all!! Thursday is among us, and you know what I like to do on Thursdays!! I give you a blast from the past! The rain in the KC metro area will be back in the forecast with temps on the upper 60’s and lower 30’s so cover up people. Todays topic is on ‘The Importance Of Taking A Second’.
Ok, so who remembers the (2003) movie ‘Anger Management’ starring Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler? In the movie an anger management group of individuals meet to help overcome their anger issues. Whenever someone in the group got upset about something or someone the member was told to recite the word “Goosfraba”. This gave them a second to calm themselves down, in return, giving them an opportunity to think about the situation. Taking a second to gather your wits about things gives you an advantage. You create space between cause and effect, you award yourself extra time to calculate your next move and you allow yourself a moment to think. Having that extra moment to think can save you from heartache, suffering and pain. Please everyone, slow down a bit. Take your time and slow down just enough to maintain your grip on things. You’ll be surprised at how much better your situations will be.
Taking a second only costs you a second. Read that again….
