Good Morning People!!!
Alberto needed a new facilities manager. He had just fired the previous one due to his rude behavior and decided that the next hire would need to have compassionate qualities. So, he placed an ad for the position and scheduled interviews to be held the following Tuesday. When the day came, Alberto dressed up as a homeless man and positioned himself on the ground just outside his office entrance with a sign that read, "Anything helps." As the interviewees passed by, they either looked at him with disgust and walked on or told him to get a job.
Feeling defeated, Alberto attempted to stand but was suddenly pulled to his feet by a well-dressed man. The man handed him $20 and walked into his interview. As Alberto followed, he couldn’t help but smile at the back of his new manager.
Happy Motivational Monday, my Weekday Warriors! Time to get back in the game! And speaking of games, comment your favorite one below! Today’s KC metro area weather started out in the mid-60s and will top off in the mid-80s. Today's topic is 'The Importance of Respect.'
“I speak to everyone in the same way, whether he is the garbage man or the president of the university." — Albert Einstein
Respect is universal and essential in every interaction. It doesn't matter who you're dealing with—each person deserves to be treated with dignity and consideration. When you give respect, it fosters trust, opens doors, and creates a foundation for healthy communication. ‘So listen up people’, respect is not a sign of weakness, but of strength and character. It shows you value others for who they are, not just for what they can do for you. So the next time someone crosses your path, give them the respect they deserve—you never know the difference it could make.
