The Importance Of Persistence

Good Morning People!!

In the early 70’s, a young man had a dream of becoming a big movie director/producer/actor. The dream seemed impossible. So impossible that many others encouraged him to go after something different. He didn’t give up. He continued to pursue his passion anyway. He would eventually become so financially in debt that he would have to sell some of his wife’s jewelry (without her knowing) to make ends meet. He didn’t give up. He next would have to spend a few nights sleeping on the floor of a bus station. He didn’t give up.  And just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, he had to sell his dog for $25 dollars because he couldn’t afford to feed him. He still didn’t give up. This man would later go on the write, play the leading role and direct the blockbuster  movie ‘Rocky’. All because he didn’t give up.

Happy Throwback Thursday my Weekday Warriors!! It’s that day again! And if you’ve been rocking with me for a while now, you know what I do on Thursdays! I give you a blast from the past!! Expect your temperatures in the KC metro area to start off in the lower 60’s and climb into the mid 80’s by this afternoon. Todays topic is on ‘The Importance Of Persistence’.

How many of you know how to ride a bike? In the beginning you had to learn how to balance and coordinate enough to push the pedals. You probably fell down numerous times but instead of giving up, you stayed persistent at it until you finally got it. Once you got it, it was smooth sailing. Well listen up People, I don’t care how many times you fail at something, you need to continue to remind yourself that it is only practice and practice makes perfect. It is very hard being good at anything in life without experiencing a little failure first. Your failure is your sign of growth so the next time you fall off the bike, don’t just lay there. Get yourself back on the seat and get back to peddling.

It’s ya boy, Coffee Cup Chuck. Thank you for joining me again for another powerful message. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and as always, Stay Positive People☕️😎👍🏾!
