The Importance Of Leading

Good Morning People!!!

Randel looked at the display of the Alexa device on the counter. It was Shawn calling from the restaurant he managed. He’d decided to work from home today to catch up on paperwork, but because of the call, it looked more like Randel would be heading back to the restaurant. Shawn was the shift supervisor, and because 3 employees had all called in, the 5 man shift was now only a 2. He needed help, but he also knew his boss, so he understood that help was on the way. Randel was not your typical boss, he happened to also be an even hard worker who believed that the right actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more. Randel was proving that he wasn’t Shawn’s boss, but his leader.

Happy Holiday Weekend my Weekend Warriors!! Christmas is in two days so I better get to finishing up my shopping!! Today’s KC metro area weather starts off in the mid 40’s but hits a high of 60 today!!! Your topic today is on ‘The Importance Of Leading’.

It is one thing to manage other people, but a totally different animal when it comes to leading them. We sometimes forget the fact that supervisors and managers only survey and maintain. The responsibility of a leader, on the other hand, is to provide the road map that it will take to get everyone to the next level. So listen up People. Being a leader will require you to not only push your team into greatness, but also pull them from behind by leading the way? You can’t do either if you aren’t willing to commit to leading from the front, as well as, the back. By showing your team that you are willing to do both shows them that they aren’t alone.
