Good Morning People!!!
14-year-old Tristan stood holding the pregnancy test tightly in her right hand. As she stared at the plus symbol, the emotion of fear shot through her body like pain. How was she going to explain this to her parents? Or, better yet, when was she going to explain it to them? Since she couldn’t find the courage to do either of the two, Tristan decided to hide the news from them altogether. In doing this, she would be stripping any chances of assistance, guidance, and emotional support away that her parents could provide her. Nonetheless, she kept quiet. She was able to hide her news until the middle of her 3rd trimester when she started experiencing severe pain. After rushing her to the ER, both parents were told by the doctor that they all needed to talk.
Happy Throwback Thursday, my Weekday Warriors! I know I'm a little late, but the rain has slowed a few things down for me. I still got you with this throwback though. Your KC metro area weather starts off in the low 50s and slides into the lower 60s by midday. Your topic for today is on "The Importance Of Having The Uncomfortable Conversation."
It is not always easy talking about those embarrassing things or situations. You know, those disappointing or hard-to-explain subjects that should probably be addressed sooner rather than later. We often avoid these types of talks because we are either scared to confront the outcome or unwilling to bear the shame. Well, listen up, people: some conversations can't be avoided, and when this is the case, stand up and have them. Never avoid what needs to be said. Say it, learn from it, and move on. Because you'll never know the true outcome waiting on the other side of the conversation until you have it.
It’s Ya Boy Coffee Cup Chuck Thank you for joining me for another powerful message. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and as always, Stay Positive People☕️😎👍🏾!
