Good Morning People!!
14 year old Tristan stood holding the pregnancy test tightly in her right hand. As she stared at the plus symbol, the emotion of fear shot through her body like pain. How was she going to explain this to her parents? Or better yet, when was she going to explain it to them? Since she couldn’t find the courage to do either of the two, Tristan decided to hide the news from them altogether. In doing this, she would be stripping any chances of assistance, guidance, and emotional support away that her parents could provide her. None the less, she kept quiet. She was able to hide her news until the middle of her 3rd trimester when she started experiencing severe pain. After rushing her to the ER, both parents were told by the doctor that they all needed to talk.
Happy Saturday my Weekday Warriors! I know I’m a day late, but my dear mother has been a little under the weather, but she’s feeling a lot better now. Speaking of weather, your LC metro area weather starts off in the los 70’s and rockets off into the lower 100’s today. Please be safe and stay hydrated the next few days People. Your topic for today is on ‘The Importance Of Having The Uncomfortable Conversation’.
It is not always easy talking about those embarrassing things or situations. You know, those disappointing, or hard to explain subjects that should probably be addressed sooner than not. We often avoid these types of talk because we are either scared to confront the outcome, or we aren’t willing to bare the shame. Well listen up People, some conversations can’t be avoided, and when this is the case, stand up and have it. Never avoid what needs to be said. Say it, learn from it and move on. Because you’ll never know the true outcome waiting on the other side of the conversation until you have it.
It’s Ya Boy Coffee Cup Chuck Thank you for joining me for another powerful message. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and as always, Stay Positive People☕️😎👍🏾
