The Importance Of Doing What You Love

Updated: Nov 3, 2022

Living in the Hill Top projects helped me form an extensive imagination. You see we weren’t constricted to our front yards. We were constricted to our whole neighborhood and that happened to be not only huge, yet awesome, but also dangerous at the same time. It was dangerous because it often put us well out of range of our mothers sight. The good thing about it was it gave me more range to do the things I wanted to do without someone telling me no. I felt like I could do anything I wanted back then. I often did. Sometimes doing this landed me in serious trouble, but most times I actually learned something new and different about my own self. Happy Friday my weekday warriors! Today is looking a little windy with beautiful weather as our temps will be climbing onto the mid 80’s in Kansas City today. Your topic for today is on ‘The Importance Of Doing What You Love’. When is it ever the right time for you to think about ‘You’? What you want and love doing, not what you love doing for or because of someone else, but actually doing what you love to do for you? Why do we often sacrifice many of the things that bring us satisfaction just to please and satisfy others? Listen up People, your heart will only become healthier when you yourself start making it that way. Stop killing the lambs for the sake of everyone else and do what you love to do. If you are the type that has spent so much time doing for and pleasing others that you’ve never actually gave yourself the time to even know what you even want, go spend some alone time with yourself until you do. Never let anyone put the brakes on your happiness and peace. Thank you for joining me this morning. Be sure to follow me on ‘The First Cup KC’ on my YouTube channel, Spotify and/or Apple TV. Have a wonderful rest of your day and as always, Stay Positive People!
